This action-packed camp is designed for young adventurers eager to try a variety of thrilling outdoor activities. From hiking and nature exploration to team-building challenges and creative arts, campers will experience a little bit of everything while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the great outdoors.

AQUA JR. ADVENTURE

• Ages 7-9: *6/30-7/3 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Make a splash exploring some of Maine’s incredible wildlife and marine wonders! Field trips include beaches, regional swimming holes, and more. For the fish in your family, this is the camp for them! A trained lifeguard will be leading this camp so our campers can stay safe while exploring the water.

During our international themed week, enjoy learning about other cultures by participating in activities as well as watching a movie that represents that particular culture! This camp is perfect for young film enthusiasts who want to explore the magical world of cinema. Campers will dive into the art of film-making, learn about storytelling, and enjoy classic and contemporary films, all while engaging in fun activities related to the movies.

NEW! BAKING ADVENTURE 

• Ages 7-9: 7/7-7/11 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Whisk, knead, and bake your way to delicious creations at our Baking Day Camp! Designed for young culinary enthusiasts, this hands-on camp offers a fun and educational experience where campers will learn the art of baking and create mouthwatering treats. Under the guidance of experienced bakers, participants will explore various baking techniques, recipes, and, of course, enjoy the sweet rewards of their hard work!

NEW! CAN & JAM

• Ages 7-9: 8/11-8/15 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Get ready to can, jam, and explore your inner chef! The Can & Jam Day Camp is a fun, hands-on camp designed for young food enthusiasts eager to learn about preserving and creating delicious, homemade jams, pickles, and more. Campers will discover the basics of canning and jamming while diving into food science, safety, and creativity.

NEW! CLIMBERS

• Ages 10+: 8/4-8/8 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Take to a variety of ropes courses throughout the state, starting with our very own Baldwin Center. Learn about teamwork by play games and participating in activities, utilize our low ropes course to work on physical challenges through storytelling, and take two field trips throughout the week, including the Salt Pump in southern Maine! Campers will enjoy both the low ropes course and the high ropes course, including a gravity-fed zipline. At the end of each day, campers will return to Camp K proper to enjoy a block at the waterfront either swimming or boating.

NEW! COOKING ADVENTURE

• Ages 7-9: 6/23-6/27 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Join the staff at the Boothbay Region YMCA’s teaching kitchen to learn how to be safe in the kitchen, learn to read recipes, and make delicious snacks & lunches! This camp will start and end their days at Camp K where they will take a bus to the Y to start their day. Upon returning to Camp K for lunch, campers will work on their own cookbooks, learn about measurements, dabble in outdoor cooking or creating snacks without using a kitchen, and then enjoy time at the waterfront to either swim or boat.

Take gaming to the next level during a week of teamwork, communication, and fun! This camp will take place both at Camp K and a field trip or two to arcades such as Round 1 and Smitty's. Gamers will have the opportunity to design their own characters and explore creating a game, keeping their imaginations active throughout the week!

NEW! GHOST HUNTERS

• Ages 10+: *6/30-7/3 (1 WEEK SESSION)

Are you ready for a spine-tingling adventure? Join us at our Ghost Hunters Day Camp, where young explorers will dive into the fascinating world of the paranormal! Campers will engage in thrilling activities that blend storytelling, investigation techniques, and creative expression as they uncover the mysteries of ghosts, legends, and folklore. Take a ghost tour of Boothbay Harbor with American Ghost Walks and a second surprise haunted location in Maine!

NEW! INTRO TO CANOEING & CANOEING

• Ages 10+: *6/23-7/3 (2 WEEK SESSION)

In this 2-week session, adventurers will learn how to paddle a canoe, working as a team, the parts of the canoe & paddles, different strokes, how to pack for an overnight, cooking outdoors, and more! The second week of this session will find out canoers on an overnight trip from canoeing on a lake or river. Certified lifeguards will be the staff for this camp. Sleepover is not mandatory, but it sure is fun!

NEW! INTRO TO OVERNIGHT & OVERNIGHT 

• Ages 10+: 8/4-8/15 (2 WEEK SESSION)

In the first week of this mandatory 2-week session, campers will spend time going on adventures and learn/practice skills to be successful for a fun-filled overnight the second week! The overnight will take place off-site from Camp K and will be TWO nights, so pack your bags and get ready for 48 hours of roughing it in the woods! Our adventure staff leading this trip will both be certified lifeguard and wilderness first aid responders through the American Red Cross. The filed trip will likely take place in a state park campground so we feel remote, but will also have access to amenities such as bathrooms and running water.

NEW! INTRO TO SURVIVOR & SURVIVOR (female) 

• Ages 10+: 7/7-7/18 (2 WEEK SESSION)

Challenge yourself to learn new skills in the outdoors such as building fires, cooking on an open flame, building shelters to sleep in, learning about nature, learning how to dispose of waste in nature, learn how to plan for a backpacking/open water trip, and more! Join our Adventure Camp to learn how to be a survivor in the wilderness. On Thursday night, campers and staff will sleep on Jackson Island to make dinner, enjoy a campfire, and cook breakfast/ clean up on the last day of camp. All staff are FA/CPR/AED trained and are lifeguard certified.

NEW! INTRO TO SURVIVOR & SURVIVOR (male)

Campers will engage in hands-on activities, learn about ocean conservation, and embark on exciting adventures that celebrate the beauty and importance of our oceans. With a healthy mix of field trips and time spent at Camp K, participants are sure to learn lots about what goes on under and around the water while having a ton of fun!

Join us for an exciting, hands-on Sustainability Day Camp, where we’ll explore the wonders of nature, sustainable practices, and environmental stewardship! Designed for curious and creative youth, this camp offers participants the chance to learn about eco-friendly habits, renewable energy, and conservation through fun, interactive activities.

NEW! TRAILS & PAILS ADVENTURE

Stay local and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Boothbay Region, with mornings spent exploring scenic walking trails and nearby land trusts, and afternoons unwinding at local beaches! When we're not out on a field trip, campers will enjoy waterfront activities like swimming and boating, as well as nature walks on Camp K's very own hiking trails—including a newly renovated ADA-compliant trail connecting the main campus to the Baldwin Center. Throughout this busy, fun-filled week, campers will discover Maine’s diverse plant life, native mammals, fascinating sea creatures, and vibrant lake ecosystems!
