The “Tree of Giving” is an opportunity for the community to assist families in need of some cheer this holiday season. To register to receive a gift there is a simple request form listed below that can be filled out and returned to the YMCA front desk. The deadline for returning applications is Monday, November 8th. Due to tight time constraints, applications received after this deadline are unable to be accepted and processed.
Giving Tree Gift Application and Timeline for 2024
- 10/25/2024 - Applications mailed to previous families
- 10/28/2024 - Applications available at the YMCA
- 11/8/2024 - Application due to the YMCA (No Exceptions)
- 11/15/2024 - Tags available for the community and members
- 12/15/2024 - Gifts are due to the Y (wrapped)
- 12/16/2024 - Gifts ready for parent pick up
If you wish to purchase a gift for a child in need, gift tags will be available between November 15 through December 1 at the Y and other locations within the community. Community members and groups are invited to stop by the Y, choose tags off the tree, purchase the items, wrap them and return them with the tags to the Y by Tuesday, December 13th.
Families will be able to pick up gifts from the front desk starting on Monday, December 16th.
The Boothbay Region YMCA offers this program in partnership with local schools, churches, town offices, and the Community Navigator.
